Snowstorm in eastern US: 2 dead

A state of emergency has been declared in Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina due to a blizzard off the US East coast, with two people reported dead.

The Blizzard affected life in the states of the east coast of the UNITED States. Two people were killed yesterday when a vehicle veered off the road in North Carolina, where snow reached 25 centimetres. The roof of a University of Brevard dormitory in the state reportedly collapsed due to heavy snow, but no one was injured. In Florida, 30 prefabricated homes and 25 homes were damaged by the hurricane.

of 235,000people suffered power outages in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida yesterday, while georgia, Virginia and North Carolina declared emergencies. “Stay home and don’t leave if possible tonight and tomorrow morning,” Georgia State Governor Brian Kemp said on his social media account. Winter storms will hit many parts of our state.” Snow is expected to reach up to 30 centimetres in some areas in the North of the US today, according to the US National Weather Service.

U.S. officials said the blizzard was headed northeast of the country and into Canada, warning the public to take necessary precautions.
