China unveils robot whale shark!
A 350-kilogram bionic robot whale shark measuring 4.7 metres long has been exhibited at an aquarium in Shanghai, eastern China.
Developed by a team with the Shenyang Aerospace Xinguang Group, The Whale shark can move, swim and dive like a real shark.
“Unlike the usual underwater robots, our Robot shark uses bionic technology to act like a real shark,” said Fang Xuelin of the Underwater Technology Laboratory.
“I like the idea, it allows us to live in harmony with marine animals,” said one person who visited the aquarium to see the robot whale shark.
