EU: Ukraine’s security is our security too

European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell has written an article about the Ukraine crisis. “Ukraine is our neighbor and partner. His security is our security as well,” he said, adding that they prioritize diplomacy to resolve the issue with Russia through dialogue, but expect a proper response from Russia.
Borrell stated that they acted in very successful co-operation and coordination with the United States in the Ukraine crisis. As the EU, especially the French and German authorities, we are pursuing very active diplomacy in this crisis.”
Reminding that close co-operation with NATO is also being worked out, Borrell reiterated his call for Russia to stop escalating tensions.
