The God of War PC version attracted more than 65,000 simultaneous Steam players on the day of release.
The PC version of God of War reached more than 65,000 simultaneous players on Steam in just 24 hours. According to SteamDB, the number of simultaneous players has continued to increase rapidly since the game was released.
Sony is acclaimed for its PC version of God of War, which was first released for playstation 4 in 2018. Sony, which did not capture the expected wind on pc with Horizon Zero Dawn, seems to be reaping the rewards of its care for PC versions with God of War.
God of War’s number of players on Steam baffles
Not a bad threshold for a fully single-player experience, this figure is surprising because it belongs to a game offered for PlayStation 4 in 2018, that is, it has been played by thousands of players before. As you know, God of War is the third PlayStation game ever released for PC. Horizon: Zero Dawn and Days Gone were released last year, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection was put on the waiting list.
However, Cory Barlog, creative director of God of War, recently said he had “no idea” whether god of war’s arrival on PC would affect the sequel, God of War Ragnarok.
“Every time we’re trying for a new game, we look at each one and say, ‘OK, is this the best? Did we do it right? Is there anything wrong with us? What can we do better in the future if we do it again?’ But at the end of the day, it’s up to Sony.”
