Global supply chain pressures drop below historical average

The US Federal Reserve's (Fed) New York Branch reported that pressure on global supply chains fell below the historical average in February.

The New York Fed released its Global Supply Chain Pressure Index for February. In the statement made by the bank, it was noted that the pressures on the global supply chain decreased significantly in February and fell below the historical average.

Pointing out that the biggest contribution to the decrease came from the delivery times in Europe, it was stated in the statement that the latest movements of the index showed that global supply chain conditions returned to normal after the temporary declines at the beginning of the year.
