At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were Melrose Industries PLC (LON:MRON), which rose 3.86% or 6.05 points to trade at 162.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtead Group PLC (LON:AHT) was up 2.23% or 128.00 points to trade at 5.00 and Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON:FLTRF) was up 1.97% or 275.00 points to trade at 14.00. .
The worst performers of the session were Fresnillo PLC (LON:FRES), down 6.84% or 52.00 points to trade at 708.40 at the close. Ocado Group PLC (LON:OCDO) was down 4.68% or 24.80 points to trade at 505.00, while Glencore PLC (LON:GLEN) was down 4.58% or 23.00 points to trade at 479.50.
While the number of depreciating stocks on the London Stock Exchange was 1202, the ones that gained value were determined as 616. In addition, 474 stocks remained stable.
Shares of Ashtead Group PLC (LON:AHT) rose 2.23%, or 128.00, to a 52-week high of 5.00. Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON:FLTRF) shares rose 1.97%, or 275.00, to a 52-week high at 14.00.
Gold Futures for April delivery fell 1.84%, or 34.05, to trade at $1.00 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude Oil WTI Futures for April delivery fell 3.08%, or 2.48%, to trade at $77.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent Oil Futures for May delivery fell 2.75%, or 2.37 percent, to trade at $83.81 a barrel.
GBP/USD is down 1.46% to trade at 1.18, while EUR/GBP is steady at 0.89, holding steady 0.42%.
Dollar Index Futures were up 1.08% at 105.46.
