Tesla aims to produce one vehicle every 45 seconds.

During Tesla’s investor day, Manufacturing Department President Tom Zhu stated that their goal is to produce one car every 45 seconds.

Reminding that they have reached their goal of producing 4 million cars, Zhu emphasized that they need new battery and parts (Gigafactory) factories to further increase production and that the existing 4 factories are not enough.

Zhu stated that their new lithium refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas will be operational by the end of 2023, and they plan to expand the battery production factory in Nevada.

Tesla CFO Zach Kirkhorn also announced that they will spend up to $175 billion to achieve their goal of producing 20 million cars by 2030.
