Biden approves $768 billion defense budget

The White House says it has approved the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which allows US President Joe Biden to spend $768 billion on defense for fiscal year 2022.
U.S. President Joe Biden(NDAA) approved the National Defense Authorization Act(NDAA),which allows $768 billion in defense spending for fiscal year 2022, which passed Congress earlier this month, the White House said.
The NDAA, which allows about 5 percent more military spending than last year, includes $300 million for the Ukrainian Security Assistance Initiative, $4billion for the European Defense Initiative and $150 million for Baltic security cooperation.
The NDAA also includes the purchase of more aircraft and ships, including a 2.7 percent pay rise in military personnel salaries.
