British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron are expected to announce new restrictions due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in their countries.

Uk media said Prime Minister Johnson would review hospital data linked to Covid-19 and make a decision based on it before announcing the new restrictions. Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron is said to announce new restrictions this evening. More than 104,000 cases were reported in the country on December 25th, the highest number of daily cases since the outbreak began. Macron was quoted as saying he would meet with health experts and make statements to the press after the meeting.
