U.S. statement to anger Putin ‘The only aggression is the Russian military buildup’
Responding to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statement that the United States and its allies have raised tensions on the Russia-Ukraine border, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said that “the only aggression we see on the border between Russia and Ukraine is the Russian military buildup.”
The White House At a daily press Conference,his spokesman Jen Psaki explained the tensions on the Russia-Ukraine border and the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden.
Psaki cited Putin’s statement that the United States is ready to meet in Geneva, Switzerland, next month, adding that no agreement has yet been reached on the time and place of the meeting between Biden and Putin.
Referring to Putin’s statement that the United States and its allies have raised tensions on the Russia-Ukraine border, Psaki said, “The facts make it clear that the only aggression we see on the border between Russia and Ukraine is the Russian military buildup and the fighter rhetoric of the Russian leader.”
