Details of the update were included in Google’s release bulletin for Chrome . The new security package, offered with version 104.0.5112.101 for Mac and Linux and 104.0.5112.102 for Windows , closes 11 vulnerabilities in the browser.
Google said that among these vulnerabilities was one zero-day . Zero-day (or zero-day) vulnerabilities is a broad term that hackers can use to attack systems. This statement indicates that the developer just learned of the violation and closed it.
Google stated that 11 security vulnerabilities were closed in the Chrome 104 update details . It should be noted that one of them was marked as critical and more than half as high risk.
The software giant also stated that the zero-day vulnerability , codenamed CVE-2022-2856, was exploited by hackers . It is not known how many users this vulnerability affects, which was breached as a result of insufficient validation of Chrome login processes.
Google also announced a while ago that it is working on a feature that promises to increase battery life. The feature called Quick Intensive Throttling limits the effectiveness of pages. According to the statement, the activity of a website will be restricted 5 minutes after it is opened. Thus, more than one page will not be loaded in the background.
