Google investigated for its treatment of black female workers!

Google has been investigated by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing for its treatment of black women.

Reuters recently produced a report. Accordingly, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH)began investigating how Google treats black female employees. The report found that the regulator asked employees about harassment and discrimination following formal complaints.

The document did not mention that DFEHhad filed charges against Google,as it did with Activision Blizzard. In addition, he said, the interviews did not mean that Google could be blamed.

In a statement emailed to The Verge, Google spokeswoman Shannon Newberry made a number of statements. He said he was investing in retention programs to make Google a more pleasant place for black employees. He stated them as follows:

Our goal is to ensure that every employee experiences Google as an inclusive workplace. In addition, we are focused on creating sustainable equality for Google’s black community. 2020, for example, was our biggest year ever to hire Black+ Google employees, both in general and in technical roles. We’ve also invested in our retention programs and apps to help black employees grow and succeed at Google. We will continue to focus on this important work and thoroughly investigate all concerns to ensure that our workplace is representative and fair.
