OPPO introduced the entry-level and affordable
A55s 5G model. Powered by Qualcomm’s 8-core processor that incorporates a 5G modem, the smartphone features a
6.5-inch display with a
90Hz refresh rate. The oppo A55s, which comes with
the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage combination we are used to on entry-level devices, has a starting price of less than $300.
OPPO A55s 5G specs
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor. This 8-core processor goes through the 8nm manufacturing process, giving OPPO A55s 5G connectivity support thanks to the Snapdragon X51 Modem. We’ve seen the Snapdragon 480 running at 1800-2000 MHz and supporting the Adreno 619 GPUon devices like the Nokia X10, Vivo Y31s, Nokia G50.
Oppo A55s 5G comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display. With a color depth of 16.7 million, this display supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling speed. The smartphone can reach up to 550 nits and has a pixel density of 405 and a color gamut of 100% DCI-P3. Oppo A55s weighs 178 grams, thickness 8.2mm, width 74.7mm, height 162.1mm.
The OPPO A55s 5G features a 13 Megapixel wide angle (f/2.2) + 2 Megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4) on the back and an 8 Megapixel selfie camera on the front. Capable of recording 1080 x 720@30fps video, the smartphone also features Digital Image Stabilizer (EIS) technology. It also supports modes such as Ultra Night Mode, Portrait Mode, and AI Scene Enhancement.
Oppo A55s 5G, which comes out of the Android 11-based ColorOS 11 boot box, has a 4000 mAh battery. Other features of the phone include; facial recognition, proximity sensor, accelerometer, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). In addition, the USB Type-C port and the 3.5mm headphone jack are also in the device’s chassis.
OPPO A55s 5G price
OPPO will launch the A55s in Japan on November 26th with a price tag of $295 (3,252.23 Turkish Liras tax-free). It is not yet clear when he will arrive in other countries.
