Mercedes-AMG’s supercar, called One, is finally coming after many delays and delays!
Following the delays experienced by the Mercedes-AMG One supercar, the light at the end of the tunnel finally appeared. Autocar first announced on Thursday that One would arrive in mid-2022, and the brand confirmed that production for initial deliveries to Roadshow would begin next year.
The supercar, which runs a powertrain derived from Mercedes-AMG’s Formula One racing car, was a very difficult vehicle to develop. Since a 1,000 horsepower engine designed only for the track is used, preparing the powertrain for street and legal use has presented numerous challenges. These challenges include the fact that the engine must idle at about 5,000 rpm. Engineers needed the 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 hybrid to idle around 1,200 rpm, and it was said that this was a huge challenge for engineers on the project.
After four years of problem solving, the car’s production process of 275 units will begin. Of course, all of these orders are now sold out and you can’t make a new order. But these lucky customers will finally get a great car in four years!
