Warner Bros. is set to release several games in 2022. But there’s bad news from the studio about Suicide Squad.
Warner Media has announced that they are postponing the Suicide Squad video game until 2023. In addition, many of the company’s major gaming projects have faced the decision to postpone before. The LEGO game of Harry Potter, Batman and Star Wars was planned for 2021. However, the pandemic and various development challenges pushed these productions forward.
Warner Bros. Suicide Squad was originally announced in 2022. The company’s Chief Executive Jason Kilar issued a statement on Twitter last week. At this point, he noted that in 2022, hogwarts legacy and gotham knights, as well as much-anticipated games, will come. Suicide Squad was specifically excluded. Warner did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Rocksteady Studios develops game after long hiatus
Announced in 2020, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming as warner bros and rocksteady studios’ next game. London-based Rocksteady is known for its Arkham series Batman. Their productions are often noted positively by critics. This is an important factor in its recognition.
Gotham Knights have high expectations
It’s been a long time since Rocksteady released a new play. The company released its last game in June 2015 under the name Batman: Arkham Knight. Since then, the actors have anticipated a production. So when the Gotham Knights were first announced, there was excitement.
We’ll see later if rocksteady can live up to his expectations. Especially after a long break, the players have a great expectation of the Gotham Knights game.
