Many famous names are on Metaverse as NFT!
Universal Music Group, together with Genies, decided to create an NFT avatar of many celebrities in the Metaverse world.
Many real-life activities have already been gradually moving into internet environments for years. The universal network, which provides many functions such as shopping, gaming, business, is again gaining a different dimension. Metaverse, which is highly anticipated as the future of the internet world, and NFT technology, which has been frequently on the agenda for some time, come together with famous names.
Fans of many famous singers and artists will be able to buy and sell NFT products for their virtual versions. What products will this new Metaverse NFT market, which even the art community is involved in, offer? Here are the details…
Genies to design celebrities’ NFT avatars
Universal Music Group,the famous record label, did not want to be short of the much talked about Metaverse world for some time. The company has teamed up with avatar company Genies for digital versions of famous names that can be used in the virtual world. This market also includes non-refundable NFT clothing and accessories.
Justin Bieber, Rihanna, J Balvin, Shawn Mendes, Migos and many more celebrities will have a virtual identity. These avatars will also be available on social media platforms. In the coming months, NFT clothing and accessories to be added through Genies will be available to buy and sell by fans.
This won’t be Universal Music Group’s first foray into the Metaverse universe. The record label also announced last month that it was forming a group of four characters from the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, which resembles Gorillaz.
Some other famous brands and companies are also working on their own NFT. Adidasis working on its own NFT. Nike and Roblox are also working on virtual markets that include their own digital products and playgrounds. The inclusion of these names in the Metaverse universe is likely to push other brands and gaming companies, including Fortnite, into this virtual world.
